Terms of Service

The terms and conditions that govern your use of Koopster.

Last updated: 2025-03-28

Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Koopster platform, including the Telegram bot (@Koopsterbot), the website (koopster.site), and all related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using Koopster, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Koopster is operated from the Netherlands and these Terms are governed by Dutch law.

Service Description

Koopster is a personal AI shopping assistant that helps you search for products, compare prices, find deals, and place orders across multiple Dutch retail services. Koopster acts as your agent — it searches and orders on your behalf but only after you explicitly approve each action. Koopster does not sell products directly. We facilitate interactions between you and third-party services such as Albert Heijn, Jumbo, Thuisbezorgd, Marktplaats, and Vomar. Your use of those third-party services is also subject to their respective terms and conditions.

Account and Registration

To use Koopster, you must have a Telegram account and be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Telegram account and any service credentials you connect to Koopster. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Koopster only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not: use the Service to engage in any illegal activity; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its related systems; interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to it; use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service beyond its intended interface; impersonate another person or entity; or use the Service to send spam, unsolicited messages, or promotional content. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.

Payments and Billing

Koopster offers a free plan and a paid Pro plan. Payments for the Pro plan are processed through Mollie B.V., a licensed Dutch payment service provider. By subscribing to Pro, you authorise Mollie to process recurring monthly payments. All prices are in euros and include applicable VAT. You can cancel your subscription at any time — you retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period, then revert to the free plan. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Koopster is not responsible for any charges, fees, or costs imposed by the third-party services you use through our platform.

Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Koopster Service — including text, graphics, logos, icons, software, and the underlying technology — are owned by Koopster and are protected by Dutch and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without our prior written consent. Your use of Koopster does not grant you ownership of any intellectual property rights in the Service or its content.

Limitation of Liability

Koopster is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, Koopster shall not be liable for: any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages; loss of profits, data, or goodwill; damages arising from your use of third-party services accessed through Koopster; or the accuracy, availability, or quality of products or services from third-party providers. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may stop using Koopster at any time by ceasing to interact with the Service. You may also request deletion of your account and associated data by messaging Koopster on Telegram. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, but provisions that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands. Any legal proceedings arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the competent courts of the Netherlands.

Dispute Resolution

We prefer to resolve disputes informally. If you have a concern, please contact us first through the Koopster Telegram bot. We will make a good faith effort to resolve the matter. If informal resolution is not possible, disputes will be submitted to the competent courts in the Netherlands. As a consumer in the EU, you may also be entitled to use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the Koopster Telegram bot or via koopster.site. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree with any changes, you should stop using the Service.
